The opening above the wire pins measures 7 x 3.5 mm. NOTE: The wire pins that go through pendants is 18 gauge, or 1 mm thick. This means it is too thick to go through most gemstones. You would need to buy top- and front-drilled gemstones specially drilled with larger holes than normal, if you wanted to use it for gemstones. However, it is perfect for front-drilled artisan pendants, like polymer clay, carved shell, and resin pendants.
