What kind of payment methods to you accept?

We happily accept Visa or Mastercard credit cards, Paypal payments, or COD orders (for UPS shipments only). We do not extend payment terms.

Please Note: Bounced checks for COD orders receive a $30 fee. After two bounced checks, only cashiers check or money order will be accepted for COD orders.

Also: First orders are not eligible for COD payment - only Visa or Mastercard credit cards or Paypal payments will be accepted for your first order.

How will I know when my order goes out?

We process orders in the order they are received, with UPS expedited shipping methods receiving priority. For example, Overnight orders are processed first, then 2-Day orders, then 3-Day orders, then UPS Ground, US Priority Mail and International Express Mail. On any given day, a UPS Ground order received at 10 am will be processed before a UPS Ground order received at 1 pm and a UPS 2-Day order received at 1:30 pm will be processed before both UPS Ground orders.

We always try to ship orders on the same or next day as received. However, depending on how busy we are, this is not always possible. Expedited orders must be received before 2 pm Pacific Time if they are to go out the same day. Very occasionally, we are unable to get expedited orders placed before 2 pm out the same day.

Please 1-800-336-6462 call to discuss if you absolutely need an order by a certain day, Monday through Friday from 9 to 5pm Pacific Time.

Please note that our office is closed on the weekends and we do not process any orders on Saturday or Sunday.

How will I know if an item is in stock or not?

Our inventory is not linked to our website. Therefore, it is possible to order items that are out of stock. When completing your order and checking out, there are several options regarding out of stock items. One option is for us to call you if anything is out of stock. This is the best option to select if you are concerned about out of stock styles. Please confirm that you have a valid phone number for us to reach you at. Additionally, we are always happy to check stock levels on a couple styles – please feel free to call us at 1-800-336-6462.

We will never charge you for an item that is not in stock, and always include a list of out of stock items on the bottom of your invoice.

We apply discounts based on the items you intended to order, not what we ship you, so you do not lose an invoice total discount if we are out of stock. If your order does qualify for a discount based on an item that is on backorder for you, we will save the discount to be applied when you receive the backorder.

What are your back order policies?

Please understand that most of our items are handmade and hand-finished in Bali and Thailand. Therefore, we sometimes experience delays that leave us temporarily out of stock on certain items. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause you. Out of stock items can take 4 – 8 weeks to come in.

We will backorder items that are sold out if they total $30 or more per individual style. If the sold out item is less than $30 total per individual style, it will not be backordered – please re-order at a future date.

We do not charge for backorders until the merchandise is ready to be shipped to you. When the backordered item arrives in our office we will notify you and once you approve the sale we will send the backorder with free UPS Ground shipping (or $7 off a faster method). At that time, you can order any additional items you’d like without having to meet the standard order minimum. If a backorder qualified you for an invoice discount on the original order, the discount will be applied at the time the backorder is shipped.

Please note that there are several different backorder options you can select when completing your on-line order. If “Call, Ship” is selected, we will call you about out of stock items and then ship the order. If “Call, Hold” is selected, we will call you about out of stock items and then hold the order until we hear back from you regarding how you’d like to proceed (perhaps making a substitution for the out of stock item). If there are items you absolutely need in your order, we suggest selecting “Call, Hold”.

When you receive your order, any out of stock and/or backordered items will be noted on your invoice. You can call us at 1-800-336-6462 to increase an item’s quantity to $30 to turn an out-of-stock item into a tracked backorder, or to cancel a backorder, or with any other questions regarding out-of-stock or backordered items.

When your backorder arrives, we will call you and upon your approval, we will send the order with fee UPS Ground shipping or $7.00 off a faster shipping method.

My backorder is in stock – what do I do next?

As soon as your backorder is in stock, we will call and/or email you to let you know it has arrived. There are two ways to proceed with your backorder:

1: If you have an order that meets our standard minimum, you can place your order on the website like normal. Just include a note in the Special Instructions that you want us to include your backorder. Once we receive your order, we’ll apply the shipping discount of $7 and any other applicable discounts. Please don’t add the item to your shopping cart unless you want additional quantities of your backordered item, as we will simply add the backordered item to whatever is submitted in your order.

2: If you only want your backorder, or would like to add just a few items that total less than the order minimum, please call us to arrange payment and shipping options. We’ll be happy to help you during our regular hours of operation: Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm Pacific time.

I know which styles I’d like to re-order. Is there a fast way to place a re-order?

Yes, you can Express Order on our website. The Express Order link is located on the top right of the website, to the right of the Cart link. Express Order allows you to enter a style number and quantity, and add it directly to your cart.

I’d like to shop in person. Where is your store located?

We do not have a showroom or a storefront. The best way to select items in person is to visit us at one of our tradeshows. Nothing beats seeing our items in person!

What are your hours of operation?

We are open from 9 am to 5 pm (Pacific Time) Monday through Friday. We are closed Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, our office is closed in observance of the following holidays: Monday, May 28, 2011 - Memorial Day Wednesday, July 4, 2011 - Independence Day Monday, September 3, 2011 - Labor Day Thursday and Friday, November 22 and 23, 2011 - Thanksgiving Tuesday, December 25 - Christmas

Do you have a list of retail stores that carry your items?

If you’d like to see our items in person and are unable to make it to a tradeshow, please visit any of these fine retail bead stores that carry our products. If you are a retail beadstore, carry our products and would like to be added to this list, please contact us at nina[at]ninadesigns[dot]com.

I am wondering if you send samples?

We can occasionally send samples of silk remnants left over from our Design Ideas projects. Please call to discuss. We do not send samples of other items. We recommend you visit us at one of our tradeshows to see our items in person. Additionally, anything can be returned for merchandise credit, exchange or refund within 10 days of receipt of merchandise.
