PRIZE EARRINGS
We thought we’d join in the fun too. Here are our Favorites for August. Enjoy!

Stephanie: These Bali Sterling Silver Earrings have 5 holes to make it easy to embellish. They have a beautiful shiny hammered finish and with some wire wrapped black garnets (or any stone/pearl of your choice) they’re ready to wear, dressed up or down! Love ‘em!

Clara:The design for this Sterling Silver Hook and Eye clasp is so simple. Combine some sensuous curving lines with the traditional Bali flattened granulation and you get this modern classic that is bold enough to use with your chunkiest beads. Wouldn’t it look great with coral nuggets?

Anna: In the midst of summer I find my self drawn to large, bohemian inspired earrings. These silver hoops are a great size, a beautiful shape, and look even better dressed up with our fabulous Hill Tribe spacers, like the Bohemian Romance Earrings, which I wear all the time!

Marisa: I suspect that my utter adoration of these new gold vermeil Hill Tribe spacers can be attributed in part to a childhood too heavily influenced by the antics of Indiana Jones. The weight and earthy appeal of these little beads lights up the kid in me that still dreams of pirate treasure, Aztec gold, and priceless relics.

Emily: This hammered hoop earring is a great staple that will compliment anyone’s style! It looks wonderful on it’s own or with a cluster of gemstones dangling from the bottom.

Laura: This locket immediately caught my attention with it’s intricate design and the unusual way it opens. I imagine it as the doorway to a magical world, and with it hanging around my neck, I am the gatekeeper.

Carly: I am excited about all of the new silver gear charms but this particular gear charm is my favorite and I can also remove the jump ring and use it as a link. This piece, along with the other gear charms, some leather and my Grandpa’s old keys, will be used in my next big necklace to honor and remember my Grandpa who passed away this last January.

Marcy: One of my favorite pieces we carry is the 7 loop clasp with the peacock motif. The design ideas with this item are endless.

Juanita: I’m loving this new feather. The detail is incredible and you can hang it horizontally or vertically.

Leah: Its clever construction and exquisite detail makes this clasp one of my favorite clasps. It can be used to create an almost seamless looking bracelet – all of the knots, Softflex and crimps are hidden in the back of the clasp, allowing the beads and the clasp to take center stage.

Nina: I like this pendant because the shape is both organic and abstract, which gives you many design options. You can either play off the leaf imagery or work with the striking geometry of the piece.
Laura’s favorite “door” locket is lovely. I have incorporated it in designs and kept one for myself. It is a work of art.

I am so happy to have discovered your wide selection of clip-on earring components. I have a friend who does not have pierced ears and I wanted to make her something distinctive. I just received my first order from you and am thrilled with GT2254C which I intend to combine with some exquisite borosilicate beads I bought from from a glass artist in England. Your findings will make these earrings extraordinary, and I know my friend will love them.

My favorite component is a little silver heart charm with a dot of silver in the middle. I use it for baby loss memorial jewelry and mother’s like to think of the little dot in the heart as their little one.

My favorite Nina Designs component is the Sterling Silver Filigree Orchid! Orchids are my favorite flowers and these components are so versatile, they can be used as earrings, charms, or a focal. The finish is beautiful, this is such a unique piece!

It’s hard to name one design I like, there are so many to choose from. I really like the sterling link (S2533). This three loop link makes beautiful earrings. I have used pearls and I have also made them with turquoise.

Love your tulip clasps. The sophisticated way it makes the closure look so finished and gorgeous. The detail gives any design a “more upscale” appearance & who doesn’t enjoy that !?!?!

I love the print collection toggle clasps. Beautiful patterns. I’d definitely design a piece with the clasp in front to show these off.

Personally, I tend to prefer sterling silver to gold vermeil, but after discovering your gold vermeil components, I might be changing my preferences. The one component I have found working very well with my classic jewelry designs is GT2191, the leafy textured post earring. I use these components for higher end, elegant earrings such as these http://www.etsy.com/listing/51549187/chocolate-kisses-two-tone-sterling-and
Now, I have a hard time deciding what other vermeil findings to try next. There are so many beautiful designs to choose from!

If you are a woman of my generation, then you probably have the problem I, and most of my friends and clients do…a stretch piercing in your ear.
Too many nights dancing in 2 – 3 inch long dangling earrings ;-p
So I really appreciate the stylish post earring findings from Nina Designs that elegantly provide a little coverage.
My favorite? Well I didn’t even have to think hard – the one I get the most compliments on are Style AT178.
You can see the earrings I made for my sister using the Vermeil version on my Facebook profile… http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=822338&id=607308627&ref=album

The various silver gear charms remind me of mountain biking with friends throughout California and Moab, Utah! I can’t wait to incorporate them onto a necklace of activity!

Oh boy, well I really love 24K Gold Plated Sterling Silver Large Lotus Petal Earring Finding. These graceful, understated hoops are perfect alone or embellished. I find no limit to my imagination using these and the other gorgeous components. Posted to FB -

I love your example and beads you use in the Family Jewels Necklace. Since one of my fav silver charms you sell is the open silver wing charm. This necklace speaks volumes to me. I also love your open word charm JOY and use it in many creations placing a charm beside it. In your new charm creations, for example, the scissors and thread would be perfect matched with the open word charm JOY for anyone who loves to quilt… as I do. You make it possible for me to purchase findings that could only otherwise be found in a high end jewelry store. Thank you!!!!!!
