Seven Silver Moons

SEVEN SILVER MOONS

INSPIRATION:

The melancholy mood of the painting inspired me to create a    monotone sterling silver necklace with flashes of color. The seven moons inspired me to use moonstones that have flashes of light. I incorporated labradorite beads that flash blue and green to match the color scheme of the painting. Nina Design circles create my version of the seven moons.

Shaman Spirits

SHAMAN SPIRITS

INSPIRATION:

This painting inspired me because it spoke of a shaman’s animal totems. I wanted to reflect mystical aspects; the circle chain represents the moons, star and moon balls, the raven and the bear. The feather centerpiece, with hand dyed ribbon reflecting the colors of twilight and black leather ties complete the necklace with a life spiral clasp as the finishing touch.

Strength of Spirit

STRENGTH OF SPIRIT

INSPIRATION:

I was inspired to create this necklace by the contrast of soft colors in the headdress and the strength of spirit in our subject’s face.

Night of the Shaman

NIGHT OF SHAMAN

INSPIRATION:

I love the mystical and ethereal quality of Boulet’s work and wanted to translate that into my interpretation. I used a muted color palette with pops of color, incorporating an eclectic mix of materials. To represent the moons, I used seven white lotus seeds. This “collected look” is the perfect backdrop to showcase the talismans and nature-themed charms from Nina Designs.
