Recommending Jewelry Supplies

Our customers often ask “Where do you recommend buying my other jewelry supplies, like metal stamps or crystal beads?” We enjoy referring clients to our favorite vendors and bead stores. Likewise, when I’m shopping at a tradeshow, I never hesitate to ask a fellow shopper for tips, like where she bought the gorgeous rough diamonds on her necklace. I find it’s more reassuring to do business with a vendor that comes with a recommendation.

At Nina Designs bead nights, we often swap info on our favorite vendors.

At Nina Designs bead nights, we often share recommendations on buying beading thread, rhinestone chains and other goodies we can't get at Nina Designs.

Please, if you like our products and services, tell your friends! We value the confidence you show in us when you invite someone new to shop with Nina Designs. For every new customer you refer to Nina Designs, you receive a FREE $25 Merchandise Credit. Customers you refer must provide your full name on their first order. Your friend will also receive $5 off their first order as a thank you for correctly providing your name. We strive to provide inspiring pieces and excellent customer service – to be the kind of company that anyone would be happy to recommend to a friend.

Spread the word and reap the benefits!

Jewelry Findings – Plan Ahead to Meet your Holiday Deadline

Have you started planning your holiday gift projects and only just realized that your beading supplies are running low? As the email order processor, I have been answering a lot of questions lately regarding how quickly we can get orders to designers who are preparing last minute for holiday craft fairs and boutiques. So if this sounds like you, don’t worry. You are not alone. Planning around holiday shipping schedules can be challenging. To help you meet this challenge, below you’ll find Nina Designs’ Holiday Shipping Schedule.

NORMAL SHIP PROCESS: We process orders Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Though we try our best, depending on our order volume, your package may or may not go out the same day they are received. As long as we get them by 2pm Pacific Standard Time, expedited orders requesting UPS Overnight, UPS 2 Day, or UPS 3 Day will go out the same day they’re received. Orders requesting UPS Ground and USPS Priority are processed after expedited orders and then in the order they’re received.

Monday is always our busiest day with each day slower than the previous as the week progresses. This means that a UPS Ground order placed on Sunday may not ship until Tuesday or even Wednesday. Mondays are usually spent processing expedited shipping orders placed during the weekend: UPS Overnight, then 2-Day, then 3-Day orders. After expedited orders have been processed, we move on to UPS Ground orders, starting with those placed on Friday, then Saturday, then Sunday. Additionally, any expedited orders placed on Monday might be processed before we get to a UPS ground order placed on Sunday.

HOLIDAY SHIPPING: Please keep in mind that we are currently in the middle of our busy season. Though we are processing a high volume of orders everyday, we are not able to process all orders received everyday. Also keep in mind that UPS and USPS are also moving a lot more packages during holiday season, so UPS Ground and USPS Priority mail packages are taking longer than usual to be delivered – possibly up to 2 weeks after they leave our office. UPS technically has that amount of time to deliver Ground packages before they are considered late.

Sterling Service

Because we have a large assortment of silver and vermeil style jewelry findings on the internet, some customers come to the conclusion that Nina Designs is a larger operation than we are in reality. From our namesake, Nina , down to the person you reach on the phone, we are an office of 10 full time employees and a sporadic cast of part time employees and interns when we are blessed with the extra help. Although we each have various titles to our employment to keep the office running efficiently, every one of us can count pulling, invoicing and packing orders as regular office duties. The person you may reach on the phone with a question is the same person that could potentially be getting your order out the door. We have an “About Us” section on our website that spotlights each of the Nina Designs taskmasters and is great way to get to know the person earnestly getting your order out to you.

My Wishlist for Beading Supplies at Nina Designs

It’s easy to shop for jewelry findings from Nina Designs using your Wishlist and Past Order Tools. Sign in to your account and access these tools by clicking on “My Account” at the top of every Nina Designs page. Then you’ll see four tabs. From the one titled “Past Orders,” you can see an image and the item codes of all the things you’ve ever ordered, and a list of all your previous invoices (great for accounting purposes). The other tab you’ll see is “Wishlist.” Here you can securely house your list of favorite Nina Designs jewelry findings that you’d like to buy, but not right now.

With your Wishlist once you’re ready to buy something, all you have to do is click “Add to Cart.” Adding an item to your cart won’t remove it from your Wishlist, so you can always keep it there as a favorite item you’ll want to refer to again and again. I love that feature because once I find something I like I don’t have to find it again. It’s great. I just transfer My Wishlist items to my shopping cart once I’m ready to buy them.

I’ve had this silver link with granulation detailing on my Wishlist forever. It is so beautifully made. I finally bought two of them and made a pair of chandelier earrings with red rice beads. They are the perfect dangles for my earrings and also look stunning with our vermeil style gold plate charms. I’m planning to make a little charm bracelet. I’ll need to add a few other charms from my Wishlist to finish that design idea.

My Wishlist also has all of our Pure Lotus print items listed. I love them all, and have design ideas for each of them. For today, I’ll add the largest round Pure Lotus to my cart from My Wishlist and make a triple strand necklace with a clean, fresh look. I picked up the wirewrapped peridot chain months ago and blackened it. I finally get to use it! As an impulse buy, I also decided to pick up a strand a black fairy ribbon to pair with rough cut quartz crystals with black inclusions. I’m planning a dark, moody necklace that’s gonna rock.

This is just a portion of what I bought on my last order. I really just wanted to share how I do my shopping at Nina Designs. I find this method really works for me, and I hope it helps you shop our site more easily.
