Use Paypal for your Silver Charms and Jewelry Findings Purchases!

Nina Designs is happy accept Paypal as a payment option for your silver charms and jewelry findings purchases! This is a feature many customers have been requesting and for good reason. Here are a few of the great features of using Paypal:

Trying to find the best jewelry findings for your designs can be difficult at times. You not only want to create stunning jewelry, you also want to use high quality pieces. This is why we created a new shopping feature: Product Reviews. With this tool Nina Designs shoppers, like you, can constructively critique our products by rating each item using a star system, writing reviews, and sharing via Facebook.

Reading product reviews is a powerful shopping tool. You can find out what jewelry findings are exciting other designers and learn why they like or dislike particular products before you buy them. We envision an honest dialogue providing constructive criticism helpful to fellow shoppers. For instance, when we introduced a slightly misunderstood earring finding using a tapered earwire, we received many comments regarding the thickness of the wire via email and phone calls. This is exactly the kind of information other shoppers would appreciate, but at the time there was no way to share this feedback with a larger audience. Now that customers can write product reviews, however, we have a forum to broadcast both positive and negative reviews.

This new feature has not seen a lot of action yet. To kick start its inauguration, we’d like to offer an enticing incentive. How can we persuade you to try our silver pendants in less than 3 minutes? That was the puzzle we grappled with as we planned our new Welcome Video for the  website. Purchasing online is scary, especially if you are unfamiliar with the vendor. We wanted to put potential new customers at ease, to reassure them that we are experienced and trustworthy with high quality products, fabulous customer service and unique designs. We also wanted to highlight our company culture and the amazing skill of our silver smiths.

Having a camera crew in our office was exciting and nerve wracking at the same time. I kept having to remind myself to breathe. Fortunately, the director put us all at ease and did a brilliant job on the edit. What do you think of the video? Did we get our message across?

Jewelry Making Supplies Online

Selling Jewelry Making Supplies online is  like performance art. Almost as much time and energy goes into creating your online shopping experience as into designing the silver charms, silver pendants and jewelry findings that we sell there. We are constantly working to improve the website.  Your feedback is essential to this process. With that in mind, I would like to thank everyone who participated in the first round of our customer service survey. We will continue to send out the surveys on a regular basis, but no one should get more than one per year. Please know that I personally read every comment and suggestion that comes in through Survey Monkey. All of that information will be taken into account as we design new products and continue to improve the website.

Many of you commented that you didn’t like getting bumped off your page and into the shopping cart every time you order an item. That has been corrected. You also wanted more items listed on each page. We increased the number from 10 to 20. (If we do 50 it will be a problem for anyone with a slow computer but you can set it for 50 if that is your preference). We also heard that our search engine and product suggestions need work. These are particularly thorny issues but we are searching for a solution.

Shopping for Jewelry Supplies is Now Easier than Ever

Over the past few weeks, we’ve added several new features that make shopping for jewelry supplies quicker and more efficient. Our new Express Order feature is for our repeat customers that know exactly what they want. Simply enter the style number and quantity, and the item is added directly to your cart-no more switching between pages! The Express Order feature can be accessed at the top right of every page on our website.

We also simplified the process of adding items to your cart. Now, after an item is added to your cart, there is a brief pop-up window confirming that it’s been added. You remain on the same page, allowing you to continue shopping without having to go in and out of the shopping cart every time you add an item. This feature was something that many of you requested, and we can see why! It really improves the shopping experience. No more clicking back & forth.

Additional features are in the works – thanks for all your feedback. We value your opinion and work hard to give you what you want! What do you think of these changes? What other features would you like to see?

Improving our Silver Charms Website

Designing silver charms is one thing, making them easy to buy is another. We are constantly updating our website in search of the most user friendly experience possible.  Some of the improvements are immediately obvious, as when we add videos or launch a blog, but many upgrades are made on the back end. For instance, this week we moved to a larger server, an enormous project that is invisible but will keep our site running smoothly with increasing content and visitors.

We listen closely to your comments and try to build solutions quickly. Recently, we have had requests for an Express Shopping template that would allow customers to quickly type in style numbers and quantities. We also heard that our silk cords and ribbons are tricky to order.

We have already improved the silk ordering process by adding an easy to use template where you can order all your colors at once. The  Express Shopping feature is almost complete.
