Skipping Stones Necklace
Designed by Marcy
Sterling Silver Circle Links come in many sizes at Nina Designs. They are a big hit with jewelry designers because of their simplicity and versatility. There is so much you can do with circle links for jewelry. We just designed the silver circle link at the center of the design – the one with tiny silver balls dotting the inner edge. These tiny accents are not only pretty – they are also very useful to space out your design elements – whether gemstones, pearls, or silver dangles.
We used stringing wire to weave through the garnet beads, with every other garnet bead framed within a silver circle link. Then pull the stringing wire through a hole poked in the leather. Crimp the wire, and fold a tab of the leather back on itself and glue. See a classroom lesson on this technique for more details.
