Nature's Bounty Necklace

Sterling Vermeil Dragonfly Pendant became a unique jewelry link in Yolanda and Juanita’s necklace inspired by the beauty of Rene Lalique’s Art Nouveau jewelry designs that were recently on display at the Legion of Honor in San Francisco, CA. We love the way Lalique’s designs incorporates rhythmic lines and movement, the curves and patterns found in nature, to create an art form that is profoundly feminine.

In reverence to Lalique, the seed of our idea was nature’s bounty. We wanted to create a necklace teeming with life. In this vein we selected earthy, floral elements, and birds and dragonflies to illicit flight and movement. By creating a layered necklace we were able to enhance that sense of movement – as if traveling between heaven and earth. For our color scheme we chose shades of greens and browns to represent the soil from which everything grows and flourishes. Our beautiful Chrysoprase Nuggets look like miniature landscapes and the little stars perfectly crowns the entire design.
