Dance of the Dead Necklace

Designed by Marcy

Celebrate friends and family, past and present, this Day of the Dead Season by making sweet necklaces with Sugar Skull pendants. The key to making fabulous Day of the Dead, Mexican-inspired jewelry is loading on flower charms, especially roses, and heart charms (bc it's all about love), and going over the top with happy, vibrant colors.

That's why we chose to go with a triple layer necklace, giving plenty of space to attach multiple charms that honor love & family. Just be sure to anchor the bright colors with some dark neutral colors, like the dark beads shown here, and the dark leather cord.

Wondering how we attached the stringing material to the leather ribbon?  Find out in our FREE classroom lesson, and while you're there also see how we attached the box clasp.

NOTE: the gold vermeil deco rose charm is no longer available. In the parts list below, we offer a substitution - a sterling silver version of the deco rose.
