Deer hide, or buckskin, is some of the strongest, most supple leather available, yet holds a knot well. Our deer hide is from North American deer, that is harvested through Fish & Wildlife Service's scheduled thinning in designated regions of overpopulation. It is tanned, dyed, and cut in the USA. The dye is lead and chromium free, and complies with all EPA regulations. As with most dyed leather, dye is not 100% Colorfast.
