Silver Fox Charm with Bronze Star and Moon 23x28mm

A6603 -SV-CHRM

This silver fox charm features a bronze star and moon on a deeply oxidized surface, the contrast evoking the shimmer found in the night sky. Many stargazers may think of the Vulpecula Constellation, first introduced in the 17th century by Polish astronomer Johannes Hevelius. Latin for fox, Vulpecula is a faint constellation lying in the Northern skies.

When first charted Hevelius drew the constellation with a goose in its mouth, no doubt an influence from European fairy tales.

"The fox went on a chilly night, He prayed to the moon to give him light, For he had many a mile to go that night . . . "
